The Nightmare on Christmas

Part 1

-The Day Before Christmas, Connor's House-

Connor:          "Heh heh, cheers buddy."
                    *He smirks and drinks a glass of eggnog after just taking his friend apart and cramming him into a Christmas box*
Meiji:              "I WILL GET OUT! Eventually...."
Connor:         "No you won't."
                    *Kicks the box*
Meiji:              "C'mon...please?"
Connor:           "...Naaaaaaah."
                    *Kicks the box again*
Meiji:              "Could you at least stop kicking me? My face is looking at my butt and I'm not liking it...."
Connor:          "All right fine."
                    *He finishes off his eggnog*
Connor:          "Be good and stay in your box. I'm goin' to do some Christmas shopping."
Meiji:              "I'MGONNAKILLYOU!"
Connor:           "Yeah, if you ever get out of there."
Meiji:              "WHEN I GET OUT OF HERE AND PUT MYSELF BACK TOGETHER AGAIN, YOU'RE DEAD!"
Connor:           "Yeah, Merry Christmas to you too."
                    *Connor leaves*
Meiji:              "Grrrr...."

-Later-

              *Down in the basement...amongst the toolboxes, shelves, equipment, and weapons,...sitting in the dark upon Connor's work desk is Pong*
                    -ping, pong, ping, pong...-
                   *In sleep-mode, the little LED screen shows two paddles endlessly returning a ball back and forth*
                    -ping, pong, ping, pong, ping, pong...-
                   *... And still the score is zero-zero*
                    -ping, pong, ping, pong, ping, pong, ping, pong...-
                   *..Then suddenly the screen switches to a digital clock and displays the time*
Pong:              "5:37PM. The time is 5:37PM."
                   *The little panda bot blinks with its multicolored LED eyes. It then turns and fixates on something in front of it*
                          "Hello. I am Pong. It is so nice to meet you."
                   *However, there was no one there...*
                          "Where are you? You are here."
                   *..There's an odd pause of silence...*
                          "Where is here? Here is with Pong in Master Connor's basement. It is dark; there is little to stimulate your sight. Do not be afraid. Tell Pong what brought you here."
                   *Says the cute little panda bot, which Connor is still in the middle of repairing as it is almost always holding conversations when there is clearly no one around. .... Pong moves closer, and within its single spherical wheel are tiny, colorful balls that bounce and crack about as if a child's corn popper toy*
                          "I understand. You were going about your own business, then saw something fascinating in your account's inbox, clicked it, and then eventually ended up here wandering about. Is Pong understanding correctly?"
                   *The little panda bot tilts its head with curiosity*
                          "Good. Pong has successfully received your meaning. Pong is happy you came to visit on the holidays. Pong is also happy tomorrow is Christmas."
                   *Pong's mouth cannot move,...not even to make a smile, but Pong's eyes close with delight and it looks as if it is smiling~*
                          "Pardon? Troubled? You are lost? No fears. Pong will give you a tour of Master Connor's home. Give Pong 10 minutes to help and then you will have found your way."
                   *Pong speedily rolls off the top of the work desk and lands on the floor. A tiny popping sound is made as it rolls around. With small speakers built into its ears, the sound of Connor's voice drifts as lights suddenly illuminate the room. Pong starts the tour*
Connor's voice:  "Well, this is the basement. Not much to look at I know, but still I'd say its great size and the mini fridge more than makes up for that fact. And a fun fact, this is the room where all the 'magic' happens. Yup~! Nearly every single piece of equipment and weapon of mine has been thought of and made in this room."
                   *Pong rolls over to a sidewall but ends up crashing into it*
                          "That's why I thought since I spend nearly all my hours down here: Why not get a reclining loveseat? Or better yet, a bed? I couldn't decide which one to get at first so I said, 'To hell with it,' and got both, as you'll see. And also...see that pressure pad? Near all that scrap metal for that damned fox friend of mine, click that and the whole room warms up nicely. It's great seeing as I sleep down here all the time."
                   *Heading out of the basement, Pong rolls onto this said pressure pad, which switches off the basement's heating system. Pong approaches the stairs and again crashes into the first step a bit. There's a small, round laneway off to the right following up along the stairs and Pong just goes rolling right on up it*
                          "Moving up the stairs to the incredibly slim hallway, you'll see a few pictures, painted portraits, posters, and doors. One door leading to your average, state-of-the-art bathroom."
                   *Pong bumps into the wall then somehow bumps into the door of said bathroom and the door slowly swings open*
                          "Complete with shower bath thing!"
                   *And yet Pong skillfully reverses back into the hallway. The lil' panda bot can easily turn and roll any which direction, but it still needing repairs means it isn't functioning at its fullest potential*
                          "The second leading to the garage, and the third door, the one with the iron bar running across the doorway, is my bedroom. But with a small difference, there's no bed. BUT there are beanbags and floor pillows with the best rug in the world—a sleeping bag! You'll also notice the spinny chair with desk, and a basketball hoop over the trash bin over there! It beeps when you make a basket."
                   *Pong bumps into the furniture like a pinball*
                          "The radio's gathering dust next to the fish tank as per usual, what with my disliking for music. Myyy bookshelf is filled with operating manuals and other things related to my work~. I also have a wardrobe filled with suits and clothes from here to the farthest ends of the world. And the drawers located under it have all my bottle caps inside them."
                   *Lil' panda bot goes to zoom out of the bedroom but stops abruptly in the doorway*
                          "Oh almost forgot! See that door near the punching bag in the corner there? Through that there door also leads to the bathroom from my room. Pretty convenient, huh?"
                   *Upon exiting and rolling on forward, Pong reaches the end of the hallway and enters into...*
                          "Well walking through here we have the living room; THE second biggest room in my whole home, which is good, because sometimes I'll be sighted sleeping here too. I like to sleep in spacious areas you see. Plus with the couch being so soft and in combination with the ottoman, it makes for the perrrfect make-shift bed for when I don't feel like falling down the stairs to get to the bed in the basement. Also with the ottoman, I enjoy combining it with the coffee table to make a much bigger table to eat on if I feel like watching TV when I eat. It can also be used as a PIRATE CHEST, Arrrrrr!"
                   *As Pong rolls along, it's a wonder how the panda bot's popping and voice touring doesn't make the Meiji-in-the-box stir. ...*
                          "But my favourite place in the living room is over here to the right. That big, comfy armchair next to that fireplace has claimed my hours on more than one occasion. Plus for the season of Christmas, I bought a tree and put it next to the window with the thick curtains."
                   *Pong avoids bumping and crashing into the Christmas tree, rolls into kitchen and races round in tight circles on the linoleum floor. --Linoleum flooring in the basement, bathroom, and kitchen; concrete in the garage; and carpet in the bedroom, hallway, and living room*
                          "Semi-attached to the living room is the most mechanic part of my house: the kitchen. Now, the first thing you'll bump into is the table. For eating, of course~! But beyond that is a breakfast-making machine~! You see, when I wake up in the morning, I'll more than likely be in my clothes. So if I pull this lever, a series of winches and strings will 1) crack an egg into a pan, 2) cook it, and 3) at the same time this toy train will transport bacon into the same pan. The toy train'll go upside-down over the top of the pan! Magnets help keep it to the track. And whilst all that is happening, and since the bathroom is the room opposite this one in the hallway, I can go get a shower!"
Pong:              "End. Pong done helping."
                   *Pong bumps into the lower cabinets then halts, turning round to look up at something taller than it...some imaginary figure(s) from an alternate dimension...? ..Or just some deviants from an awesome art website..? ..It's a mystery. Too bad Pong doesn't know Scooby-Doo*
Pong:              "Tour-r-r is-s-s-s c-complete. ..P-Pong do ..gooooodd? .... .... ...."
                   *-The colorful LED lights in Pong's eyes black out! ..And the bot shuts down...! ..Seems the tour tuckered out its batteries or something. ... ... ... ... ..Back in the living room*
Meiji:              ".... ..Zzz...zzz...."
                   *Meiji is sleeping*
Meiji:              "Zzz...Gonna Zzz...kill zzz...him zzz...."
                   *..The gifts, including the box Meiji was in, were all under the tree. The lights on the tree twinkle on and off. Silver tinsel is wrapped round and snug on the pine-needled branches. The pretty, elegant-looking glass blubs are hung here and there. A couple of handmade ornaments dangle from their threads. A star shines atop the Christmas tree. In the fireplace, one of the logs put on the grating collapses as the dancing flames crack and pop. Two stockings are hung on the mantelpiece. Outward from the hearth, the fiery glow dimly lights the living room. Connor's empty eggnog glass sits on the coffee table. ...*
                    -Knock, knock!-
                   *-Meiji wakes up!*
Meiji:              "Huh?"
                   *Whoever it was just unlocked and opened the front door. They then enter and close the door behind them*
???:                 "Hello? Connor, are you home?"
                   *Meiji has heard this female voice before, but he just can't quite put his tail on it*
                   *She then walks into the living room from the front door*
???:                 "Connor...? Guess he's not here. Darn...."
                   *She heaves a sad sigh*
                          "What do I do with this mistletoe now? ...."
                   *Feeling letdown, she then sits on a big gift box near the Christmas tree, crushing the box a little*
Meiji:              "HEY! Can't you read? FRAGILE!"
                   *She shrieks and jumps up*
                          "STOP! Stopstopstop! My microphone ears can't take such pitch!"
???:                 "Is that you Meiji...?! Wha? Huh?"
                   *She then reads the label on the box:*

???:                 "Oops. Sorry Meiji."
Meiji:              "Just don't shriek again, ok?"
???:                 "Okay. You just scared me that's all."
Meiji:              "Hey,...do I know you?"
???:                 "Yea, it's me."
Meiji:              "Me who?"
???:                 "C'mon. It's me, Thistle."
Meiji:              "Oh hey~! I couldn't tell who it was on account that I'm stuck inside a box. So what's up?"
Thistle:           "Oh, well. I got this mistletoe for Connor and I from the flower shop."
Meiji:              "But he's not here. He went out Christmas shopping."
Thistle:           "Oh. ...I just thought.... ...Since I'm his girlfriend and all...."
Meiji:              "Girlfriend, huh?"
Thistle:           "Yeah."
Meiji:              "I'm sure you want to be Connor's present too, right?"
Thistle:           "Yeah~! ...Are you going to put me in a box?"
Meiji:              "Unless you're a cyborg fox that can be pulled apart, sure!"
Thistle:           "Oh. ...Is there another way?"
Meiji:              "How about a kiss on his cheek?"
Thistle:           "That's perfect~! Hmm...maybe I should find a place to hang this."
Meiji:              "The mistletoe?"
Thistle:           "Yup."
Meiji:              "FORGET THE MISTLETOE! JUST KISS HIM!"
Thistle:           "Okay, okay. Don't yell at me."
Meiji:              "Sorry, it's just that...I'm in a box and...I'm very claustrophobic. Heh...."
Thistle:           "Say wha?!"
                   *Shredding the ribbon and ripping the lid off, Thistle hurries to open up the box*
                   *-HE GASPS!*
Meiji:              "AH FINALLY! FRESH AIR~!"
Thistle:           "Whoa. If I had known you were that desperate to get out, I would have gotten you out sooner. ..I'm sorry."
Meiji:              "Hey it's all right. Better late than never."
Thistle:           "Are you okay? Connor did this, didn't he?"
Meiji:              "Yea, I'm fine. I am so gonna give Connor a piece of my mind...!"
Thistle:           "Let me know and I'll gladly assist you with that. I don't understand why he picks on you so much, Meiji."
Meiji:              "Hey thanks~! But I think I can handle him."
                   *Meiji, still broken into parts, is lying in the bottom of the box*
Thistle:           "Here let me help you."
                   *She carefully picks up every disassembled piece out of the box one at a time and puts it on to the floor*
                          "There."
Meiji:              "Great...now I'm in another pile. At least I'm out of that box."
Thistle:           "What now?"
                   *Meiji prepares his throat for FAST instructions*
Meiji:              "Ahem,...."
                   *Meiji then spat out instructional jargon at an alarmingly fast speed, dizzying Thistle with every word*
                          "Got that?"
Thistle:           "..Um,.... Yeah I got it. I think...."
Meiji:              "Get Connor to put me back together, he knows me inside and out. He can so fix me."
Thistle:           "Okay, I will. Um..so how are you feeling?"
Meiji:              "Let's see. I've been dismantled, horrifyingly stuffed into a box, carelessly thrown around only to have my @$$ kicked by my own left foot. Yeah I'm fine."
                   *Thistle's black-tufted ears droop down and she frowns*
Thistle:           "..Oh..okay...."
                   *Meiji looks at her with a smile*
                          "..Why are you looking at me like that?"
                   *Meiji quickly looks away*
Meiji:              "For no reason."
                   *He's blushing*

-CRASH!!!-

*-Suddenly Mechanical elves come out of nowhere!-*

I read it and in my mind I swear it should've been an animated short film~ Also it really reminded me of the movie "The Sword of the Stranger." It was awesome~ Oh a lot of it really~
